About Leslye Abrutyn
The former Superintendent of the Penn-Delco School District, Leslye Abrutyn possesses over a decade of experience. Leslye Abrutyn has taught and administrated at all levels of the public school system, and she holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Temple University.
While employed in the Penn-Delco School District, Leslye Abrutyn’s many achievements included the insightful use of data to analyze student performance and devise necessary enhancement measures. Leslye Abrutyn reported to the Board of School Directors of the Penn-Delco School District, and she was especially adept at communicating with community members and other stakeholders through meetings, seminars, and public television broadcasts.
A well-regarded expert on topics ranging from curriculum management to the use of walkthroughs for performance enhancement, Leslye Abrutyn has written a book on portfolios in the classroom and appeared in informative videos on technology and other topics. For her outstanding achievements, Leslye Abrutyn has been awarded a number of plaudits, including the Dean Arthur Herbert Wilde Society Award for service to the profession from Boston University.
Leslye Abrutyn attended Boston University for her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Temple University for her Master of Education in Special Education. Before assuming her first role as an administrator, Leslye Abrutyn taught special education and fifth grade for several years.
